Nick is a finalist in this year's Freedman Jazz Fellowship, one of the most prestigious and generous awards for a jazz musician in Australia. Sixteen musicians are nominated by established musicians in each state (you can't self nominate), they submit a proposal to the judges and three of those are selected as finalists to play at The Freedman Jazz concert at Sydney Opera House.
Nick is one of the three finalists, along with Ellen Kirkwood and Emma Stephenson.
Tickets for the concert are on sale through Sydney Opera House, and it pretty much always sells out so you should buy a ticket now if you want to go.
